CLASSIFYING SIMILAR ND DISSIMILAR FRACTIONS

Gaby (Intro): Good Morning to each and everyone of you...I am Gabrielle Aine Cabana and this is my groupmate Japeth Canlas. Today, we will be discussing to you how to classify or how to distinguish a similar fraction from a dissimilar fraction. First, we will define what is similar fractions. Japeth...please? Japeth: Similar Fractions. Similar Fractions are those fractions with the same denominators. Such examples would be & 3/4. They are similar because of their denominators being the same. In a little while, we will show you some exercises on similar fractions. Now heres Gaby again to tell you all about Dissimilar Fractions. Gaby? Gaby: Dissimilar Fractions on the other hand have different denominators. Examples would be 1/2, 3/7,and 5/9. Now to change them to Similar fractions would be another groups area to tackle. So, Lets recap...so how do we actually CLASSIFY SIMILAR AND DISSIMILAR FRACTIONS? THROUGH THEIR DENOMINATORS. Remember...through the denominators. And when we are talking about two or more fractions we can check if they are similar or dissimilar fractions. Remember: Similar fractions have the same denominator, for example 4/15, 7/15, and 11/15. Japeth: And also, Dissimilar fractions have different denominators, for example 1/5 and 3/8 . So that would be the totality of our report, I hope we have enlightened you all somehow.
