Your basic facts log is just like a reading log except it shows that you have been practicing your BF at home. You need to practice the step you are on as much as you can. Record at least 2 practice sessions in your BF log. You need to show the date, type of question/step you practiced and what you did to practice. You can get ideas about how to practice from the grid.

School Responsibilities/Jobs
You now know about the responsibilities/jobs that you can apply for as Arrowsmith students. There are lots of opportunities for you to be a leader at our school and work with younger students. If you want to apply, you need to write a short letter on a piece of paper saying: Your name and room Your skills and experience Why you would be good for the job Ideas you have for 2014 You need to write a new letter for each job you wish to apply for because different teachers sort out different jobs. Basic Facts Practice

Basic facts need to be learnt, practiced and then used/applied to solve more difficult maths problems. This grid gives you some ideas on how to learn and practice basic facts at home. It is best if you choose 2-3 facts to learn at a time. Most people learn best when they use a range of strategies try and use a range of ways to practice each week.
