Transfer of Credit Hours

It is the first achievement of our website that Syed Habib ur Rehman successfully transferred his credits from ASRM program of University of Karachi to Queens College New York (www.qc.cuny.edu). He completed 3 semesters of BS Actuarial Sciences & Risk Management in University of Karachi, and then joined Rutgers University in New Jersey. After one year at Rutgers Habib-ur-Rehman decided to move to Queens College in order to pursue his career in Actuarial Sciences. He requested Queens College, New York for transfer of his credit hours of first three semesters. He gave reference of our ASRM website (www.asrm.edu.pk) which includes detail description of each course. After course evaluation he got admission in Queens College New York. Queens College has a BBA program that has a specialized track for actuarial studies. The following courses from the ASRM program were completely transferred: ACT - 311 ACT - 312 ACT - 315 ACT - 316 ACT - 317 ACT - 318 ACT - 319 ACT - 320 ACT - 411 ACT - 413 ACT - 415 Statistics Introduction to Probability Distributions Financial Mathematics Insurance Mathematics Algebra Calculus Microeconomics Macroeconomics Mathematical Statistics Probability Theory Financial Accounting

For the rest of the courses like Pakistan studies, Demography, Islamic studies, International Economics he was awarded elective credits; 3 credits for each such course. They will be counted towards his total 120 credits requirement for graduation. This leads us to the conclusion that the BS Actuarial Sciences & Risk Management program of University of Karachi is a well recognized Program that has courses which are equivalent to those offered in American and other Universities around the world.
