In the charts should above, there are Azimuth charts, showing to horizontal coverage areas of the various types of antennas. The Elevation charts show the vertical coverage areas of the different types of antennas. With an Omnidirectional antenna (also known as Dipoles), the pattern of the radiated RF signals is shown in a fashion similar to the way a table or floor lamp radiates light. They are designed to provide general coverage in all directions. A Semi-directional antenna shows the pattern of a radiated RF signal, in a fashion similar to the way a wall sconce radiates light away from the wall or the way a street lamp shines light down on a street or a parking lot, providing a directional light across a large area. And lastly, a Highly-Directional antenna shows the pattern of a radiated RF signal, in a fashion similar to the way a spotlight focuses light on a fag or a sign.
