Look(On Standing):
From front: ASW A-Attitude: varus/valgus S-Scar, Sinus, Swelling W-Wasting, Walk aid From side: FFD/Hyperextension(Recurvatum) From back: Scar, Swelling Gait: Antalgic, high stepping, varus, thurst, stiff knee gait

Look(On Standing):

Feel (Ask pt to lie down)


-Temperature, Tenderness -Quadriceps measurement -Popliteal fossa for Baker cyst & Semimembranous bursa) -Extensor apparatus (quadriceps tendon, patella,patellar ligament) -Grind test for PFOA -Bulge test -Patellar tap -Cross fluctuation for effusion -Flex the knee for hollow test and joint line tenderness -Synovial thickening in RA

Move:
Flexion (140) Extension Special test: - Posterior sagging PCL - Posterior drawer - Anterior drawer ACL - Lachmans test - Varus test LCL & MCL - Valgus test (+ve in 20-30 flexion Then in full knee extension, instability in extension signifies a combined collateral and cruciate ligament injury) - Mc Murrays test for meniscus - Macintosh test: It confirms Rotator instability - Patellar apprehension test To conclude: Neurovascular LL
