15) Your goal is to reduce the amount of paper going into the landfill, while spending as little money as possible. Determine what combination of programs will cause the greatest effect for the least cost. Take notes: pay as you throw and home recycling are some ways paper can be reduced but the business recycle is the cheapest and most effective way. 16) What combination of programs did you use? Check the bar graph, how many tons of paper and cardboard did you end up with? How much did it cost? Pay as you throw and business recycling, it cost 1000 dollars, 29 tons of paper waste 17) Now try to reduce the overall waste in the city. You cannot spend more than $200,000. Try different combinations of programs to determine which combinations will get you the most benefits for your money. Which combinations of programs did you use? What was the total waste recovered? How much did it cost? I used all the programs except drop-off recycling center and even if I use it I wouldnt be able to recover 100% of the waste. It cost 168,000 and I was able to recover 78 tons of waste.
