Review the central truth, the memory verse, prayer and confessions, and read the Bible Story with scripture references indicated under the power outlets. As this is done each day, let your child color in or put a sticker on the power outlet located on the back of the devotional. At the end of the week please sign as proof of completion and return to the teacher. Children who complete 3 weeks Power Cords in a month will have their picture posted in the foyer of Power Source and their name in the newsletter.

The Lord guides those who acknowledge His authority.

Proverbs 3:6, In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will direct your paths.

Father God, Thank you for loving me and taking care of me. Bless my church, Pastor Ron, and his family. Bless my teachers for teaching me Your Word. I believe your love is flowing through me to other people. Help me to obey my parents so things will go well with me and I will live a long life on the earth. I will tell how great you are and how much I love you. I thank You that by Jesus stripes I am healed. In Jesus' name, Amen

Satan will not outsmart me. For, I am very familiar with his evil schemes. II Corinthians 2:11 Angels are spirits who serve God and are sent by Him to help me because I am an heir of salvation. Hebrews 1:14 So God speaks to me face to face, clearly and not in riddles. Numbers 12:8

When the Lord came to visit the young boy Samuel, He waited for Samuel to recognize who was speaking to him. Remember that it was the third time before Samuel finally said, Yes, Lord, your servant is listening. Once Samuel had recognized Gods Presence he was ready to receive the important message God had for him. There is a great lesson for us to learn here. God gives us a gentle nudge to get our attention. We must stop and listen before He will give us more information no matter how important it may be. There is a certain way to acknowledge Gods Presence. Notice that the disciples never called Jesus by His first name; but called Him by the title of respectLord, Master, Rabbi. It is good manners to show Him the respect He deserves. It also shows Him that you know how great He is and you want to go where He leads you.
