IBPS has recently announced the official notification for the Specialist officer common written test III which is going to be conducted on 8th and 9th of February, 2014. 1. Database Management (DBMS) :- The most important
topic for the CWE III 2014 Exam is Database management system. Approx 40% of weightage, most of the questions you can expect from this topic only. To understand clearly, here is the PDF files that you can download to learn and understand the whole concept DBMS. Overview of DBMS DATABASE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM (DBMS)
2. Networking :- The 2nd most important topic for IT
officer exam, you can expect 20-25% of questions from Networking only. Yes, its compulsory to understand the Networking concept as it will be quite helpful in job too. To understand the concept, you can download and read this PDF file which is prepared by Norman Matloff, Dept. of Computer Science, University of California at Davis.
You can also read this networking fundamentals from IOS Developer Library.
3. Network Security :- You will get good questions on this
topic too as it is quite important to understand the network security. Here is two PDF, one which is prepared by University of Florida and another by stephen t walker.
4. Web Technologies :- Few questions can be asked on
this topic, better you download and read this PDF which is prepared by Tara Murphy and Prof. Lixin Tao (from Pace University) who has beautifully explained Web technologies.
5. Programming concepts (Basics) :- Few to more
questions can be asked on Basic programming terminologies like definition, components and errors etc. You can Download and read this PDF Mantis Cheng and Pallab Dasgupta ( from IIT Kharagpur) who have explained basic programming in PDF files.

6. Basic hardware (Microprocessor, timer, ALU etc) :- It
is important to know about the basic things about the hardware you are going to use like microprocessor, CPU, RAM Timer, ALU etc. Download and Read this PDF File by Fusheng Wang & David A Gutman.
7. IBPS IT Officers: Online Mock Test - Buy it now.
if you don't have any book for reasoning, english, maths and going for IT officer exam, then better you buy this book and start preparation from this book.
Can i Skip Professional Knowledge Subject?

No, you can't. Professional knowledge contains 50 Questions which you can not skip. And this 50 questions can change your marks, cut off and your future too. So, Just read the above PDF's, it will help you to score 100%.
I only know practical knowledge about programming and networking, should i need to read Book?
If you know the practical, then also i will suggest you to read this files as it will be finished in 2-3 days but can help you to revise all the things and you can get all the information about the topic, which will be extra advantage for you.

Nagaraju Erigi, The Syllabus and Question for Scale 1 and 2 officer exam will be same, for scale 2 officer need 2 year of work experience else questions will be same for scale 1 and 2.

Information. I just visited ur blog today.. its really gave shock to me.. nice blog.. and My doubt is Im having one and half year experience in IT Development.. I already applied for IBPS SO IT Officer Scale 1. And in the application I have mentioned about my IT experience.. and u r saying that minimum 2 year experience required. so for what minimum 2 years ex required.? u mean to say that they will consider only 2 yrs experience or some thing like that? can u pls clarify my doubt..? thnx Reply

I have applied for Feb SO exam, can I prepare within these 40,45 days? I am doing self study. 2) above you did reply to someone that registration are over, commented on 14dec but I have applied/registered (online payment) on the 14th Dec itself. so want to know am I eligible to write exam.? Vineet December 22, 2013 at 9:24 AM Thanks vicky for providing such an authentic and reliable source for IT section.But I think this whole material cannot be completed in 2-3 days,may be bcoz I was not in touch with these things from past 2 years.It may take at least 10 days.The book Online mock test whose link is provided at the end is not for this year. Also the response from the users are not encouraging.

I'm an Electronics and electrical engineer with 2.5 years of experience in an IT company but working in the core field ... However I have applied on the IBPS site for scale 2 with the specialization as "electronics" which was one of the option ... Later realized that the two year experience necessary is in IT .. Will my application be rejected ? Reply

January 5, 2014 at 6:41 AM Dear Vicky, My wife have two years experience but she is not sure of cracking the exam so I applied for both SO-I & SO-II I thought that if the exams for SO-I is conducted in the morning & exams for SO-II is conducted in the evening schedule she can attend both or if she gets two different different time slots suppose one hall ticket for morning schedule and one hall ticket for evening schedule she can attend both whether this is the case or papers for SO-I & SO-II will be same and depends on work experience they will select plz advice Reply

January 5, 2014 at 11:53 PM Here only the confusion starts IBPS should clearly mention that If a person not able to clear Scale 2 he should be given a option to join Scale 1 provided he got cut off score i dont know whether what i have done is legal. they have released different cut offs for scale 1 & scale 2 and scale 1 cut off is higher than scale 2 that means candidates are given different sets of questions if i am right. I hope my wife will get two different time slots. i will advice her to give both since IBPS never mention that people
