Module 1
Academic Support
Aware of after homework options. Provide supplies (i.e., paper, pencils, etc.) for youth to do homework.

Academic Enrichment/Lesson Plans

Follow and implement provided lesson plans. Familiar with various academic curricula.

Quality Operations
Follow safety guidelines (i.e., pick-up, emergency drills, bathroom, etc.). Complete all necessary daily paperwork.

Youth Development
Facilitate Team Building activities to know youth in-group. Aware of the CNYD Model (Safety, Relationship Building, Skill Building, Youth Participation, Community Involvement). Positive attitude to work with youth, families and staff.

Familiar with academic support components (i.e., math facts, Zoom-In, IRT) and homework schedule. Hold youth accountable for homework.

Aware of all ASP expectations (i.e., homework, literacy, recreation, academic tutoring). Proactive with setting up supplies in advance and familiar with provided lesson plans.

Aware of available site resources.

Maintain cleanliness of program areas.

Establish group promises, consequences and incentives. Build relationships with youths families (i.e., greet and welcome families with a smile).

Familiar with classroom use expectations. Familiar with site schedule.

Module 2
Academic Support
Knowledge of academic data (i.e., benchmark and math proficiency data). Provide academic homework centers. Deliver effective academic support (i.e., Zoom-In, math facts, IRT). Utilize effective homework strategies to manage the environment (i.e., same skilled at same table, same teachers, noise level, etc.). Understand grade level homework, subject matter and homework expectations.

Academic Enrichment/Lesson Plans

Adhere to all ASP expectations. Design lesson plans that align with content standards. Follow and implement academic curricula.

Quality Operations
Use available site resources. Follow site schedule using transition strategies. Notify Site Manager of minor program schedule changes. Know field trip planning procedures and assist in facilitating field trips.

Youth Development
Safety Debrief with youth after emergency drills. Respect and respond to student concerns. Be consistent and honor commitments. Relationship Building Give positive feedback (written or verbal) on a youths behavior to all families at least once a week. Know personality and characteristics of all youth in the group. Have intentional daily check-ins with families. Build relationships with administration, support staff and primary faculty. Community Involvement Research community resources. Youth Participation Have a class meeting once per week. Understand the purpose of Youth Council. Skill Building Share a skill-set with the youth.

Module 3
Academic Support
Support youth-directed projects (i.e. science fair, projects, reports, boards, etc.). Provide material to meet individual academic goals. Create an individualized plan for youth, as needed, with families and teachers. Meet with grade level teacher(s) to plan intentional centers (i.e. specific support for non-proficient youth).

Academic Enrichment/Lesson Plans

Design and implement Project Based Learning. (PBL) Have back-up plans/activities available.

Quality Operations
Problem solves student issues and collaborate with Site Manager and Associate Program Director to take preventative steps. Implement field trips using planning procedures. Research new and relevant site resources. Assist with organizing program wide events.

Youth Development
Safety Facilitate mini emergency drills with group. Facilitate topic-driven discussions (i.e., bullying, health and wellness, hygiene, etc.). Relationship Building Have a peer-led conflict resolution system. Serve as a positive mentor teacher-guardian communication. Community Involvement Utilize community resources (i.e., field trips, guest speakers, etc.). Provide opportunities for youth to connect with other youth outside of their program. Youth Participation Coach youth to lead program components. Help youth hold peers accountable to Group Promises. Skill Building Tailor/create curricula/lesson plans with specialized skill sets.

Assist Site Manager with Youth Council selection process. Incorporate student ideas into lesson plans.

Module 4
Academic Support
Meet the academic needs of youth utilizing data.

Academic Enrichment/Lesson Plans

Align lesson plans to connect with the core school day. Review lesson plans and provides feedback. Able to provide replicable lesson plans.

Quality Operations
Adhere to Site Coverage Plan. Plan and implement staff, family and youth appreciation events. Serve as a coach, mentor and trainer for other program staff. Assist Site Manager with participant attendance issues. Assist with site Behavior Management Plan. Organize program-wide events (i.e., family nights, appreciation events, field trips, etc.). Serve as a representative and point person in the absence of Site Manager (Debrief with Site Manager the next day). Articulate the components of the CNYD model and relate the CNYD model to all aspects of program.

Youth Development
Safety Demonstrate the ability to create an emotionally safe environment for all youth. Facilitate program-wide emergency drills. Relationship Building Demonstrate networking abilities (i.e., campaign, crosssite, district, etc.). Model conflict resolution techniques. Community Involvement Facilitate service-learning projects. Assist in scheduling and coordinating enrichment provider (s). Youth Participation Allow youth to design program components. Lead Youth Council. Skill Building Provide opportunities for youth to practice and demonstrate a learned skill.
