Hence, daily intake is necessary to ensure that our body gets all the protein it needs. What is the role of protein? Protein is one of the basic building blocks of our body. Our muscle, hair, skin, tissues etc. are all made up of proteins. Protein is also needed for our immune system, to systhesize neurotransmitters & for creation & signalling of hormones.
