DROP CAP

The drop-cap is the capital O which is for the first word Olly. Olly is the model on the page, by using his name firstly and especially by capitalising it; more attention is put onto the model who is very famous.

SUBHEADINGS
The questions could be clarified as sub-headings as they are situated before the answer. By having questions it makes the reader feel to answer them personally, therefore involving them. Making it fun and portraying POP music effectively.

HEADING
The main heading is themed to the season of Christmas therefore suggesting the whole magazine could be. The red banner behind the text is a Christmas colour, adding to the design. The way they have substituted mas with murs adds humour to the title.

GUTTERS
The gutter hasnt got much of an interesting effect to it, as it is not purposeful towards the image but is only used to divide the text neatly and make the questions stand out further more.

FONT
The main title font is interesting and unique like the models music he creates. The main text is in a fancy font, which makes it look formal but when you read it, you are relaxed and feel more involved and informally invited into the text and article stories.

PULL OUT
There is a couple of pull out quotes, the one that stands out the most is submerged with a red banner background to the text contrasts and is more visual for the reader.

There isnt much white space only behind the text to make it stand out more. Even so, the Christmas themed blue snow background is cut around the model and cut into the white space.

WHITE SPACE

The layout of the body text is in question and answers making it more interesting and involving. It is in a lot of short paragraphs so the information doesnt drag on and make the reader tedious.

BODY TEXT

There are no captions on the large right image, other than the Olly Murs star in the top, this is because it is a free poster included in the magazine and can be cut out as we can see the cut lines. There is a small mouth quote caption by the other image on the left, adding again a humorous effect.
