    Replacing a Fitting on your CAMS

    There are 2 different fittings on your CAMS machine weather it is a 2 Color CAMS, or the 6 color CAMS machine. One is called a 90 degree fitting and the others are straight fittings. Below are some pictures of the fittings you will find in your CAMS machines there are several types of these two fittings.

    How to Replace a straight type Fitting: Tool Needed: 1) 2.5 mm Allen Wrench For straight type fittings it is important to remove these by inserting an Allen wrench inside the fitting to dismount it from the machine, Grabbing it with a pair of pliers will crush the push type mechanics and destroy the fitting, they must also be secured using the same Allen Wrench. The shape of the fitting internally is hexagon so the Allen wrench fits perfectly inside to help remove or remount.

    Replacing a Fitting on your CAMS


    Replacing a 90 Degree Fitting All 90 Degree fittings have a bronze nut which is used in conjunction with a combination wrench or small adjustable wrench to remove or secure the new fitting to the machine.

    It is important to not over tighten the fitting once it is on as the fine treads on the fittings can strip out, just snug it on tightly.
