Knowledge of Students and Context: My students use textbooks frequently throughout their subjects to learn from. We do hands-on projects, but I would like to show them how handson projects are not just in science, that the other subjects can be just as much fun. Each of my students has some type of relationship with food, which makes this lesson appealing to everyone, and gives them a closer look into their own community.

Education Philosophy and Beliefs: - Every student is capable of learning and developing through a curriculum that is challenging and engaging. - Having high expectations is just as important as being understanding with students throughout the learning process - Learning can and should always be fun and exciting - As a teacher, you are the facilitator, the monitor, and one of the many resources in the classroom. This allows students to explore and take responsibility for their own learning.

Theories of Teaching and Learning: - Maslow: Students need to feel safe and secure before learning in a classroom environment. - Dweck: Students are always capable of developing and expanding their intelligence as long as they possess a dsfas long as growth mindset and learning promotes a growth mindset. - Moll: Each students come to school with their own experiences and funds of knowledge, its up to the teacher to develop this knowledge safe and securely in the classroom.
