If I am to reflect my primary and secondary years of learning the English language, it was considered as something memorable for me as I fell in love with the language since I was in Standard 2. I tried reading my textbook all the time during those years because it was the only reference I had apart from watching television. I believed that my English subject primary school teachers did a great job in introducing this language to me and they were able to consistently maintain the same influence that language had on me for years. During my early secondary years of schooling, my English teachers did not focus on the grammar item of the English language. Teacher Ramiyah (my Form 1 and Form 2 English teacher) revert to more task-based activities during lessons such as role-play, quizzes and scrap book writing. Those two years enticed me a lot and at that time I know that my ambition is to become an English teacher. I wanted to share my experience(s) with others and I wanted my students to be better than me because my students may never give the same excuse as I had in terms of support from the surroundings. Since that I did not have the courage to ask my parents to buy me English materials, I made frequent visits to the library and rely solely on the television to become my reference. Unfortunately during my Form 4 and Form 5 years, everything got serious and English lessons

turned out to be less interactive and I felt that my friends and I were denied the opportunity to improve ourselves in the language as my teacher tended to focus on the SPM examination. I always believe that everything happens for a reason and there is always a different side of any plight which can coax us into keeping life going. We can never turn back time but we can always time our comeback. I pledged that I will carry out my duties the best way I can with the knowledge I collected from my tertiary studies. It may not channel to a big change but at least it gives an impact for my students. Thank you.
