Lecture Format ANNE GONON

<Concept> The characteristic of the way of thinking known as Human Security is to actively engage with all problems that threaten basic human lifestyle, the right to exist, dignity, etcetera, with the aim to remove or lessen threats or shortages to these as its main point. In this lecture, we will critically investigate and discuss the details of Human Security from the viewpoint of people placed in conditions of social unease (referred to as the Security Guarantee of people). To accomplish this, by looking at case studies taken from all over the world, we will investigate the lack of recognition of economic inequality, violence, identity and other ways of thinking at the base of forms of social, political, and cultural suffering. <Performance Objectives> By understanding the perspective and theoretical analytic tools of human suffering, students will become able to decipher the meaning of Human Security.
