p.s.b %arase'uence p.s.b %arase'uence # Top Kalol

General E-W line to N. Sarkhej-1

An enlargement of the seismic line (top left) identifies two strong seismic reflectors (identified as blue lines) within the Tarapur Formation. The top Kalol Formation is marked by the red arrow and the top Tarapur Formation by the green arrow. Log response from N. arkhe!"# re$eals two upward positi$e shifts in the % log through the Tarapur Formation. &t is likely that these represent two upward coarsening parase'uences( with each parase'uence top representing a laterally e)tensi$e stratal surface (seismic reflectors marked in blue). *n the seismic line( note the thickening in an +asterly and ,esterly direction away from the anticlinal crest. &t is likely that this structure was growing during intra"Tarapur times.
