Competency 1: Agir en tant que professionnel hritier, critique et interprte dobjets de savoirs ou de culture dans lexercice de ses fonctions. Comments: The evidence provided for this competency is my short story essay test on which I scored 93%. This test demonstrates the knowledge I acquired in the class and my capacity to communicate this knowledge efficiently. This pertains to my professional development because it deepens my understanding of literature and enhances my ability to interpret this understanding and use it in my teaching. Competency 2: Communiquer clairement et correctement dans la langue denseignement, loral et lcrit, dans les divers contextes lis la profession enseignante. Comments: The proof provided for this competency is an assignment from my written communication class. This paper demonstrates my writing abilities in English and the ability to communicate my ideas clearly and use a target language level for a certain audience. In this case for parents and teachers. This pertains to my professional development because I will be required to vary my language level depending on my audience whether it is students, other teachers or parents. Competency 3: Concevoir des situations denseignement/ apprentissage pour les contenus faire apprendre et ce, en fonction des lves concerns et du dveloppement vises par le programme de formation. Comments: The proof provided for this section is my webquest which we created in our computer applications class. This webquest shows my ability to structure an activity for a certain grade level, in this case grades 5/6. The carful attention to vocabulary used and sentence structure relates to my professional development because is shows my awareness of using relevant vocabulary and sentences structures when developing a lesson. The webquest also demonstrates my development in lesson structure development. In this lesson students are asked to go further then just regurgitating what they have learned on a piece of paper which relates to the learning goals of the MELS program. Competency 4: Piloter des situations denseignement/ apprentissage pour des contenus faire apprendre et ce, en fonction des lves concerns et du dveloppement des comptences vises dans le programme de formation. Comments: The three reference letters provided as proof represent my professional development in this area. Whether I am teaching, tutoring or just monitoring I continually try to further a students learning as best as I can. These letters show that my efforts have been noticed and appreciated which demonstrate my capacities in this area.

Comptence 6: Planifier, organiser et superviser le mode de fonctionnement du groupe dlve en vue de favoriser lapprentissage et la socialisation des lves. Comments: The proof provided for this section is my actual hours of teaching, tutoring and monitoring. These hours continually contribute to my professional development. They allow me to improve my classroom management skills, modify my planning for different levels and students and organize my classrooms for effective learning. This pertains to my professional development because it allows me to practice and improve the many things involved in planning, organizing and supervising a class. Comptence 7: Adapter ses interventions aux besoins et aux caractristiques des lves prsentant des difficults dapprentissage, dadaptation ou un handicap. Comments: The number of hours teaching that I have done has allowed me to continually encounter a variety of students for which I need to adapt my teaching style. Therefore this pertains to my professional development in this competency because I am developing my aptitude for dealing with students with learning disabilities and other difficulties. Comptence 8: Intgrer les technologies de linformation et des communications aux fins de prparation et de pilotage dactivits denseignement apprentissage, de gestion de lenseignement et de dveloppement professionnel. Comments: Two projects this year have allowed me to develop this competency. They are my webquest and my blog both of which have furthered my abilities in working with ICTs and provides me with the possibility of integrating them into my future classroom. They have therefore developed my abilities in this competency. Comptence 9. Cooprer avec lquipe-cole, les parents, les diffrents partenaires sociaux et les lves en vue de latteinte des objectifs ducatifs de lcole. Comments: No proof as of yet for this competency. Comptence 10. Travailler de concert avec les membres de lquipe pdagogique la ralisation des tches permettant le dveloppement et lvaluation des comptences vises dans le programme de formation, et ce, en fonction des lves concerns. Comptence 11: Sengager dans une dmarche individuelle et collective de dveloppement personnel et professionnel. Comments: Both my SEAQ membership and my attendance at the SPEAQ conference have shown my interest in my personal professional development. By attending SEAQ and becoming a member I was able to use many of the different useful tools presented on the website and at the conference. This has allowed me to continue to develop myself professionally. Another item provided as proof for this section is my participation in the APEAL general assembly. This involvement has started me on the path to participating in committees and other associations related to my professional development. When I will be in the school system I will need to participate in other activities outside of just teaching and the APEAL general meeting gives me a guideline for those future experiences. B. Briefly identify goals for yourself for the next year. My goals for next year are to continually find new tools and experiences to contribute to my professional development. More specifically I would like to learn more about classroom management and lesson planning for different levels within a class. I would also like to experiment more with ICTs and find ways in which I would like to use them in the classroom. Another goal of mine is to try and work with mentally disabled children in the ESL classroom. Some experiences this session have seeded an interest that I would like to explore.
