1.The Game
A.The game is played to 21 points and you have to win by 2 points. B A match is the best 2 out of 3 games. C.The game is played with rally scoring. There is a point for every serve and either team can score. D The game starts with a volley for serve to see who serves first. 1. The ball is thrown over the net by anyone from anywhere 2 The ball must be returned over the net 3 times in a row legally. 3 After 3 legal returns the team that does not miss will be the server.

2.Positions and Rotation

A. There are 6 players on a team 1. 3 fronts: right/left/center or 2 Front 2. 3 backs: right/left/center or 2 Back B.A team always rotates clockwise. C.A team only rotates when they win back the serve. D.A team does not rotate on the first serve of the game. E. In a match the 2 teams switch sides of the court after every game with the players staying in their same player positions. F. The losers of the last game of the match serve to start the next game of the match.

3 Scoring:
A. Rally Scoring is used, which means that either team scores a point on every rally. B. Points are won in the following situations: 1. A served ball doesnt go over the net 2. A served ball is helped over the net by a player 3. The ball does not bounce before it is hit. 4. The ball bounces more than once 5 Hitting the ball out of bounds: (The lines are in, the ceiling, beams, lights, balcony, backboards and poles are out of bounds) 6 Contacting the net with any part of the body 7 A player reaches over the net to play a ball 8 A player makes an illegal hit

4 Rules for the serve

A. The serve must be underhand volleyball serve or may be bounced off the ground then hit underhand. B. The right back player always serves. C. The serve must be made from behind the service line. D. The server must say the score before he/she serves, saying his/her score first. E. The server only gets 1 chance to get the serve over the net. F. The ball cannot be helped over the net on the serve. G. If the ball hits the net on the serve, its still in play H. When the serving team will win on the next successful serve it is called game point and the server must say so before he/she serves.

5 Rules for the rally

A. The ball must bounce before it can be hit. B. The ball may be hit with one or two hands C One team may hit the ball 3 times to get it back over the net. D. No player can hit the ball 2 times in a row. E. Blocks are illegal because the ball must bounce first. F The lines are inbounds. G The ceiling, backboards, balcony, beams etc. are out of bounds. H If the ball hits the net its still in play. I A player may leave the court to hit the ball. J A player may not kick or head the ball
