1-Domain is synonymous with data type. Attributes can be thought of as columns in a table. Therefore, an attribute domain refers to the data type associated with a column. 2-Attribute in a relation table , each column is called by its column name or attribute name. 3:N-tuple: any relational state r(R) of a relation schema R(A1,A2,An) can consist of n-tuples or rows. Each n-tuple consists of n values t=<v1,v2,..vn> where v1,v2vn are the values of different attributes of that tuple 4-A relation schema is represented by R(A1,A2,..An) where R is called the name of the relation and A1,A2An are the attributes of this schema. 5- Relation State: A relation State is represented as r(R) and is defined as a state of relations between a set of n-tuples 6-The relation degree is the number of elds (or columns, attributes) in the relation. 7-A relational database schema is represented as S{R1,R2,Rn} where R1,R2Rn are the relation schemas .It also consists of a set of Integrity constraints {IC} 8- Relational Database State: It is represented as DB={r1,r2,..rn}where r1,r2,rn are different relation states in the databse each ri satisfies the integrity constraints specified by IC.
