Johnson Prince George’s County Fxecutive County Administration Building 14741 Govemor Oden Bowie Drive Upper Merlboro, MD 20772-3050 Re: Cameron Grove Dear County Executive Johnson: ‘We are writing this letter to you, as the elected Board of Directors for the Homeowner"s Association, to latfy the current situation at Cameron Grove, ‘The Board of Directors has boon working with tho Devoloper/Builder, Stavrou Associates in harmony for the last 8 years, on what we believe tobe the premiere Active Adult community in the County and possibly the State of Meryland, The community has even been given netional recognition, “The Developer/Builder has worked to maintain a productive relationship with the Community by addessing the homeowner concems as they have been presented, We have a dedicated committee to receive investigate, and with the Builder's cooperation, act on issues that homeowners present to ws, ‘The unfortunate, recent events and publicity does not reflect the Community as a whole, Werrecognize there are challenges and problems that must be addressed and solved and we, the Board, the Homeowner Advocacy Committee, the Residents and the Developer/Builder need your support in helping us to do this inside the parameters of the Cameron Grove Community processes. Our Loeal counciiman has directed the Concem Citizen group to present their issues clearly to the Board, which they have not done to date, The Homeowner Advocacy Commitee, that is sanctioned and approved by the Board, was established with the objective of implementing standard processes forthe receipt and processing of ‘homeowner concems, that would encompass; investigating end documenting the concem, determining ‘whether or not te issue is covered under the Builder's waranty or is a homeowner maintenance issue, ‘and then work with the Builder to resolve the concern. A similar process has been in place for the last 8 ‘years, We will continue to support, encourage, end fully execute tho defined processes for timely resolutions of the homeowner concerns. The Homeowner Advocacy Contmittee isin place and ready to suppor the homeowners of Cameron Grove. The new Chairperson for the Homeowner Advocacy Committee will be smnounced in « formal communication to you. County Resutve ek Jeon October 20,209 Page? 0f2 We are asking you, Mr. County Rxeculive, and all of your colleagues in elected positions (whom we have copied on this correspondence) to suppot this process and support the elected Board of Directors at Cameron Grove. We encourage you to remain consistent withthe Councilman’ message to this group of ‘people to follow the procedures that are in place at Cameron Grove. ‘The Board is requesting that you ‘remain consistent with this message at all public venues andi meetings, When we deviate from this process and allow groups with no interest in Cameron Grove, and who want to facilitate their own agende, We encounter unfair misrepresentations about our community that we love so much. ‘We have had a good partnership with Stavron Associates, the Developer and Builder, and these events have only strengthened that partnership. Stavrou and the Boatd are committed to productively resolving legitimate homeowner issues, and do not want to get clouded with negativity, false accusations, and outside agendas that are not consistent with the vision of Cameron Grove, 1, again, arn requesting your support, ad the support of your colleagues copied on this letter, to recognize and support the elected Board of Directors at Cayneron Grove, and instruct all homeowners and ‘groups that have concems that they feel have not been satisfied to bring them to the attention of the Bosrd sanctioned Homeowner's Advocacy Committee, and not outside organizations, Respectfully, Clube So poets xen a on ee feats cc: Prince George’s County Council Member Sartiuel H.
