STATEMENT OF PURPOSE

In order for the classroom to run effectively a teacher should have rules and procedures in place and are known by each and every student in the class. This plan ensures a creative and fun environment in the classroom that allows everyone to work and for knowledge to take place. It is also essential that the teacher is consistent and holds up to the plan put into place by this classroom management plan. CLASSROOM RULES Students are to be in the classroom at scheduled class time, unless the student has a note from another teacher or the office. Students are to turn assignments in on time. Students will need to ask the teacher before leaving the classroom. When a student is talking, all other students will be respectful of student. Students will bring all required materials to class.

CLASSROOM PROCEDURES
At the beginning of class students will be given a "Jump Start" activity which is a short worksheet that is a review of past materials.
Students will be given these each day, and they will pick them up as they walk in. Students will be able to work on this for the first couple minutes of class or until teacher is ready to begin class. Students will self-grade their Jump Starts.

Students will be in pods, and they will be able to talk to their neighbors quietly if it pertains to material presented or assignments.
Students will respect all students when they are speaking, and they should not be talking when another is speaking. Students will be able to work on homework towards the end of class, and they will be allowed to get help from their neighbor.

Students will not have to raise hands at first, however, if issues arise, than they will have to begin to raise their hands to answer questions and get help on their homework.
This rule can change depending on the class.

Homework can be done in pen or pencil but must be completed legibly. If I can't read it I can't grade it.
If illegible (which would e very rare cases), I will give paper back and have them write it again, or they can type it. No points will be deducted for assignment. Students will be able to work on this for the first couple minutes of class or until teacher is ready to begin class. Students will self-grade their Jump Starts.

If assignment is turned in late, except in cases when students are given back assignments to rewrite or correct, the student will be deducted points which will be increased for each day it isn't turned in.
This procedure is flexible depending on any emergencies that arise.

Extra credit will be given once a week. No other extra credit will be given.

Extra credit will be based on unit that we are studying. No extra credit will be accepted after due date. Every student will have a chance to earn extra credit each week. If the student is absent, they will have an extra day.

Students that are absent will have one day after their return to complete assignments some cases may require extra time.
Unexcused absences will not be subject to this rule and will have to have homework turned in on time, depending on the case.

Class will be dismissed by the teacher.

Students will be allowed to pick up and line up a couple minutes before class is over.

Homework will be assigned most days, but students will be given time at the end of class to complete assignments or portions of the assignment.
