Reverie

By Angelica T. Dalit What I want is: To be a perfect woman whos adored and cared for by all To have someone until death who consoles me when I fall To be hugged by someone Whos mesmerized by my charm To be comforted by a man Whos keeping me warm To be a friend whos always there for others Well never part ways; Were bonded together by love and respect; Affection is in our hearts. If Im going to be a perfect woman, Ill just love others No standards required... Ill be a minstrel, a troubadour, An orator of life and a singer If Im going to be a perfect woman, Isnt it a reverie? Delusions are sins. Im not being me. Published in The Carmelian Faces (the official publication of the higher education department of Mount Carmel College of Baler), June-October 2013, Volume VIII, No. 7, p. 10
