1-because it is my hope that students will take the skills that they have learned while dancing and playing Kinect to take home to play with their friends and family.

2 Because this is the ultimate goal to have students be able to dance for their health without having Zumba playing. 4 Because students are already used to being quizzed on the systems after every lesson so they are expected to know a lot about this.

Student Learning Outcomes TSW demonstrate dance moves at the end of the dance sessions by showing me at least 3 moves that we did during the lesson. TSW tell me the correct system(s) that we worked on while doing our dance session. Academic Language - The language of education and specifically physical education that is different from everyday spoken language. This language needs to be taught, and used by both the instructor and the K-12 students for students to be successful in the classroom. Content specific terms: Process terms: Routines, experience Dance, twist, turn, shimmy, shake Prior Learning/Prior Thinking Prior to this lesson students should have some experience with dancing. It would also be nice if the students would have a little experience with an Xbox Kinect

ASSESSMENT BEFORE THE LESSON Pre-assessment-How many of you have ever danced before? How many have played Xbox Kinect? Do we work cardiovascular or muscular system?

Equipment needs TV or projector Xbox Kinect Zumba Game Lots of room

Safety Considerations Give yourself enough room Stay away from friends who may distract you and get you hurt

Differentiated Instruction Describe here how you will modify or adapted your instruction based on the various learning needs of your student.
Examples: Modify equipment If students cannot see the Screen I will try to move the TV to a more central location Modify task If Zumba is too hard of a game to play I will put in Just Dance and let them dance to easier songs. Modify instruction If they get bored with playing Kinect I will have students play a tag game.

Classroom Management/Democratic Practices Describe here how you will manage the learning environment based on the various learning needs of your student. Students know that when I say freeze they are to sit with their legs crossed and hands on their lap. Students also know that if they mess around too much that we will move into a different activity.

Activity Formations and or field diagrams: add additional text boxes as needed

Possible Community Resources: Indicate how students can use the information taught to be used in their own time in and around the
community.

If any of their friends have an Xbox Kinect they could get together and play that as a group instead of just sitting on the couch watching TV or playing other video games. If your family has an Xbox Kinect then you could have family Kinect night were you play Kinect games as a family.
