Lunch: Lunch will be on your own, unless your building has made alternate plans. Please plan enough time to return, sign in and start your afternoon session on time. Bring: K-12: You will need to bring your charged laptop and charging cord. 7-12: You will have guided work time in all of your technology sessions. Please bring materials for an upcoming unit/lesson to work on during that time. Collective Commitments and Expectations: All sessions will begin and end on-time. We will encourage open conversations and listen to other viewpoints. We will remain focused on the agenda tasks. To do this, we will: limit side-conversations. refrain from non-emergency cell phone use. utilize communication tools- backchannel chats, email etc- to submit important, but possibly off-topic, ideas or questions you would like to have addressed. We will focus our conversations on the possibilities for a positive impact on our students learning.and solutions to roadblocks. Technology Session Descriptions Organizing Google Drive- Room 215 Presenters: Justin Melick and Kim Kenward, GVSU This session will cover tips for sharing folders/documents, including naming conventions to help you and your students better manage Google Drive, how to control editing rights of shared documents, handy keyboard shortcuts for providing comments on students work, and two websites filled with loads of Google educator tips

Getting Started with Google- Room 216 Presenters: Sherry Barricklow and Breanne Hobrla, GVSU This session focused on the New to Google user. It will cover the basic on how to import word documents, edit and format in Google Docs and how to share and save to a folder and this session will briefly cover how to keep your files organized when you have multiple classes.

Formative Assessment Tools-Room 217 Presenter: Ron Houtman, Kent ISD How do you know that they understand? In this session, we'll take a hands-on tour and create formative assessments using a virtual learner response system that helps teachers make classes interactive by allowing students to respond to questions through their mobile phones, ipads, tablets or desktop computers.

Doctopus-Room 273 Presenter, Bret Laubaugh In this session you will learn how to use the Google script Doctopus to send out files to students, including tips for organizing your Google Drive to get the most out of this program. Attendees should be proficient Google Drive users. Please have an example of a document that you might want to share ready in your Drive.

Moodle Aesthetics Room 218 Presenter: Mike Kennedy Turn your Moodle page into an inviting online classroom using the tips and tricks from this session. Presenter Mike Kennedy will cover themes, embedding images, videos and calendars, creating custom buttons and setting options to change your layout. Guided work time will be provided, so please bring unit materials.

Moodle Interactive- Room 270 Presenter: Adam Lancto

Learn how to move your Moodle page beyond a repository to an interactive experience using assignment and communication tools during this session. Presenter Adam Lancto will delve into Moodle interactive tools including Assignments, Forums, Chats, Choices and more. Guided work time will be provided, so please bring unit materials.

Moodle Assessment- Room 271 Presenter: Kyle Vanderwall Participants in this session will learn the basics of how to create a question bank, question categories and assessments using Moodle. Presenter Kyle Vanderwall will show you how he has used Moodle Assessment in his classroom and give examples of how the grade book for an assessment is viewed.

Using Google Forms for Assessment- Room 272 Presenter: Brian Mulder This session will start with a review of shared students folders in Google Drive and then will focus on using Google Forms, along with Flubaroo, as a tool for formative and summative assessment, feedback and communication. There will be time to apply your new skills, so please bring some assessments along with you.

Tech Slam- Room 272 Facilitator: Brenda Montgomery, Presenters: YOU Come share how you have been using technology in your classroom and learn from other teachers in this open format session. Topics will be gathered at the start of the session and then ideas may be shared among the group. Presenter, Brenda Montgomery, will have a few tips and tricks of her own to share as well.

Teaching Above the Line- Room 274 Presenter: Kim Bachelder Examine the SAMR model and how to apply it effectively without causing work overload for yourself. Participants will look at typical classroom tasks and available technology tools, including screen recording, screen capture and annotation, presentation tools, and differentiation tools to consider how they might integrate the tasks and tools together.
