During the Soviet era, the Russians were suppressed

from practicing their own religion, and were strictly controlled. In the 1980s Mikhail Gorbachev got rid of the political and social restrictions. Slowly, freedom of religion was re-introduced.

Russia is a state with multiple different nationalities,

they do not blend together like the U.S. Each Ethnic group practices different cultures, and gets treated differently in the eyes of Russia. Some groups are middle class and are the most privileged, where others are faced with discrimination and treated horribly.

Middle class, they are the most privileged and treated better than the other ethnic groups.

They are Sunni Muslim and they are also treated poorly.

They have a low income, and practice Georgian Christian Orthodoxy.

They practice Eastern Orthodox Christianity, at one point they had power.

They speak their own native language, very friendly, but have strict rules.

Faced discrimination, they are the second largest non-slavic group; practice Islam.

when the tartars returned they were homeless. Some had to live in tents, where as some were able to live in houses, but did not have permission. Those who lived in houses seen their house be destroyed by the government, they did not care if there was anyone inside. The people who lose their homes struggle to find a place to live, and some are placed in centre for homeless people. The Tartars still fight for their land and homes to this day.

The new president has yet been able to gain full control of the south.

down upon and treated differently.

believers were persecuted and atheism was taught in schools. The biggest Orthodox Church in the world is not the original, the 1st one was destroyed by the communist in 1931; The replacement was only finished in 2001. This Church speaks for the people, and shows their victory throughout time, it also shows the power over good VS evil. Although some people still do practice Atheism believing that having a religion is a thing of the past, and those who have a religion are like slaves to the religion.
