Drawing
Assessment
Directions:
This
will
be
your
final
project
on
the
unit
of
Ratios
and
Proportional
Relationships.
This
activity
represents
your
final
exam
and
is
worth
20%
of
your
grade
for
this
unit.
You
will
be
creating
a
scale
drawing
of
a
room
in
your
house,
and
will
be
presenting
your
findings
to
the
class
on
Friday!
First,
you
and
your
group
will
use
one
of
the
measurements
from
your
bedroom
and
create
a
proportional
scale
drawing
on
a
single
piece
of
grid
paper.
You
will
need
to
find
an
appropriate
scale
factor
to
do
this.
(Remember
most
scale
factors
are
Unit
rates).
Then
you
will
make
a
table
with
two
columns:
one
representing
the
actual
measurements
and
one
with
the
scale
down
dimensions.
The
more
details
and
measurements,
the
better
your
score
will
be.
Must
have
dimensions
of
all
of
the
walls
and
at
least
three
items
in
the
room
to
receive
full
credit.
Accuracy
is
KEY,
so
double
check
your
measurements,
and
use
your
number
sense
for
accuracy.
Poster
and
Presentation:
Once
you
have
found
your
measurements
and
created
your
scale
drawing,
then
you
will
display
your
results
on
a
poster.
The
poster
will
include:
Scale
Drawing
Table
of
conversions
Reflection
paragraph
Pictures
of
actual
room
for
bonus
points
The
reflections
must
explain
your
results,
describe
what
you
learned
about
ratios,
and
how
ratios
and
proportional
relationships
are
used
in
the
real-world.
The
reflection
should
be
4-6
sentences,
and
this
is
your
chance
to
wow
me
with
what
you
have
learned
throughout
the
unit.
