This article describes the various factors that pertain to SIDS deaths. It describes the different risks that parents take daily that could possibly be the cause for SIDS. The main point of this article is to inform parents about the various risks they could be taking with their infants life. The way I will use this source will be to persuade my audience about the risks of SIDS and how they can educate themselves and those around them. This article is the same as others that I have found in that it gives details of what factors cause SIDS death but is the same in that it goes in to detail on how to inform those around you about SIDS.

It goes into detail about the temperature that the room should be at, how a child should sleep and things that childcare providers should be educated on. The main point of this article is to inform the reader on what precautions a childcare center should be taking to protect infants. It will specifically help my paper by giving an overview of how to prevent SIDS and the steps that are already being done to prevent SIDS in child care centers. This article is geared towards a general audience because it is easily understood and actually a fun read. This article is the same as others that I have found in that it gives many different ways to prevent SIDS it is different in that it is geared towards an audience that works in childcare.

This article discusses ways to make mothers more aware about SIDS. A questionnaire was given to 200 pregnant mothers and they were asked to answer questions about SIDS, the primary results were not very good. Three months later the mothers were given the same questionnaire and every mother passed the questionnaire. The main point of this article is to show how making parents aware of this serious problem will then make them strive to become more educated on the subject. This article will specifically help me persuade my audience to become more aware about sudden infant death syndrome. This article is geared towards a professional audience because of

the wording and the way the information is presented. This article is similar to others that I have found in that it goes into detail on the risks associated with uneducated parents this article is different in that it lays out a way to help educate parents.

The main point of this article is to reiterate how dangerous it is to share the bed with a newborn. The way that this article will specifically help my presentation will be to make sure that my audience is aware of how dangerous it is to share a bed with baby. This article is geared towards both a general and a professional audience because it uses both laymans terms and gives data displayed in a professional way. This article is similar to other articles in that is discuses what SIDS is but is different in that it focuses mainly on bed sharing as a risk.

This article talks about a study that was conducted on infants that had died from SIDS. They looked into over 200 cases and looked at the factors that were involved in their death. Of these factors they paid close attention to how many parents of these infants smoked. Forty percent of the infants that were looked at in this study had two parents or people involved consistently in the infants life that smoked. The main point of this article is to inform the reader on how risky it is to smoke and then be around a newborn. This article will specifically help my research by providing another factor that causes SIDS. The target audience for this article is professional because of the way it is worded and how the data is presented. This article is similar to others that I have collected in that it gives a brief overview of what SIDS is but is different in that its main point is to inform about the risks of smoking around an infant.

The main point of this article is to educate the reader on how to prevent SIDS with the use of pacifiers. The way this article will specifically help my presentation is with quantitative date about studies that have already been done and by giving qualitative data on the issue of SIDS. This article is designed for both a professional audience because of its medical terminology and for the general audience because of its tips on preventing SIDS. This article is the same as other articles that I have found in that it gives a brief introduction on SIDS but it is different in how it gives specific information on how pacifiers prevent SIDS.

The main point of this article is to inform parents and childcare professionals on the correct sleep environment for infants (a child up to the age of 12 months). This article will help me point out the correct way for an infant to sleep and teach my audience this as well. This article is geared towards a general audience because it uses easily understood terms and bulleted points. This article is similar to others that I found in that it describes the risk factors associated with the way infants sleep, it is different in that it lists the right way to put your infant to sleep.

Its main purpose is to inform the reader of what SIDS is and how to prevent SIDS with your own children. This article will specifically help me because it will establish a recent study within my work and therefore allow my audience to know that I have not only looked at past studies but at recent ones as well. This journal is geared towards a professional audience because it is addressed towards midwives educating their patients. This article is the same as others that I have found in that it gives general preventative measures but different in that it gives insight into the current SIDS research that is being completed.
