1.Copy of school certificate.Evidence of successful completion of an approved nursing educational program. 2. Nursing transcript - a full transcript clearly stating the breakdown of theoretical and clinical hours per subject of the nursing program. Note: Mark sheets are not acceptable 3. Official certificate of experience signed by an authorized person from Human Resources, Nursing or from a Medical Director. No experience required for new graduates. Employment is permitted only in hospitals, day surgical centre and polyclinics under the direct supervision of a licensed Registered Nurse. 4. Valid practice license in country of graduation and/or country of last employment. 5. Valid Good Standing certificate from previous licensing authorities testifying to good conduct and not charged with a criminal act (if the licensing authority does not issue good standing certificates then a letter of good standing from previous employer.) 6. Passport copy. 7. One (1) colour passport size photo.
Please note that the above mention list is not conclusive and additional documents may be requested to justify the application for registration and licensure. Health Regulation Department in DHA will carry out Primary Source Verification (PSV) for each applicant. Qualifications attestation by the UAE embassy and/or Ministry of Foreign Affairs is not required.

Applicants who knowingly submit falsified documents will be liable for prosecution as per UAE Federal Law. This would also include an automatic termination of the licensure process and/or of the DHA licensure if already issued by the Health Regulation Department.

(2) PSV (Primary Source Verification) is a process whereby the applications credentials including the applicants education, experience and license are verified from the source of origin - this is, the country it was obtained from). -payment of 724 AED for PSV (just follow the email instructions that you will receive from dataflow)

(3) COMPUTER BASED EXAM -visit prometric website to schedule your exam http://www.prometric.com/default.htm -select DHA (Dubai Health Authority) -payment of 170 USD for the computer based exam -once you passed the exam, you have 1 year to find an employer (your exam will be considered void after 1 year)

Rescheduling Examinations If you need to change your appointment, you must contact Prometric directly. Reservations may be changed up to 30 days before the scheduled testing date without an additional fee. After this deadline, Prometric will assess a fee for rescheduling. Examinations may only be rescheduled within the same testing window.

I noticed that there are some application inquiries not tackled above. For the benefit of those who are not in Dubai (for you to save long distance calls to inquire) I called DHA this morning and got the following information. -PSV #of days or weeks for processing - no definite time frame. sometimes 2 weeks or more. -They said that the applicant should apply for PSV before applying for an exam schedule. -The 2 year work experience that is waived for the fresh graduates - this only applies for UAE nursing graduates. -Company nurse, clinical nurse are considered as work experience.

Scheduling and Rescheduling Exams After you apply for your ABP examination, you will receive an e-mail after 48 hours with instructions on how to schedule a seat at a Prometric testing center. Instructions for scheduling with Prometric are also outlined below. If you do not receive your instructions within 5 business days of your application, contact the ABP. To receive the largest selection of dates, times and locations, schedule your exam with Prometric immediately after the 48-hour processing period. Although it is advisable to schedule your examination as soon as possible in order to have the greatest flexibility in securing a convenient testing location and time, please be aware that Prometric traditionally opens the scheduling window six months in advance of the examination. You can schedule an exam date and time with Prometric via their Web site or toll-free phone number. If you schedule by phone, Prometric will assign the first possible time slot on the day chosen. If you schedule online, you can pick your date and time. Online scheduling is the quickest, most efficient and recommended scheduling method. Online Scheduling To locate a testing center and schedule or reschedule your exam date, visit the Prometric scheduling Web site. When asked to enter your eligibility identification number (ID), enter the letters ABP and your ABP ID number (eg, ABP123456). Your eligibility ID can be found in your confirmation e-mail and the e-mail that provides instructions for scheduling a seat at Prometric. You will also be required to enter the last 4 characters of your last name.

Be sure to click Commit Registration to finalize your scheduling request. Prometric will issue a confirmation number when your appointment has been successfully scheduled; this number will be located near the top of the confirmation page. If you do not receive a confirmation number, you will need to repeat the scheduling process. Toll-free Telephone Scheduling Step 1: Dial the ABPs Prometric toll-free number: 1-866-496-9750. Step 2: After an automated introduction, a Prometric representative will answer. State the specific name of the examination you are taking (eg, Subspecialty In-training, Subspecialty Certification, or General Pediatrics Certification Exam). You may also need to tell the Prometric representative that you want to take an American Board of Pediatrics exam. When scheduling, you may be asked for the following information:

Testing Program: American Board of Pediatrics Examination: Subspecialty In-training, Subspecialty Certification, or General Pediatrics Certification Exam Eligibility ID: ABP and your ABP ID number (eg, ABP123456). ANUJanuary 25, 2012 at 10:25 PM hai,,now you have paid for credentialing process and you will get a notification in ur mail with in two weeks whether ur application is approved,and you will get an eligibilty number,next step is you have to pay for PSV(primary source verification) through online.Its about700 AED for nurses.After that u will get a mail from data flow company whom through which PSV is done.then u will get one "pending task "in ur DHA account showing to select assessment date.You will get a prometric ID.(NOTE:: this id will be active only after 5working days in the prometric system).Then u have to follow the link site www.prometric.com and select exam centre and date and pay for it.Its around 600AED.Then u will get a confirmation mail and u can write exam..THANK YOU.

thank u for the info. yeah i got a mail from dhaorders@dataflowgroup.com asking me to pay 700 + 3% service tax + 2 aed for processing a total of 724.06 aed for PSV. however it does not say the application is approved or does not have any eligibility number. it just has the DHA reference number which i got while registering with DHA. can u please let me know am i on the rite track??? once again thanks for the help. PROCEDURE TO APPLY FOR DHA EXAM: 1. First you visit DHA website www.dha.gov.ae Click on the link Licensing services. Register yourself as a New User 2. Create your login ID by selecting your username and password. Enter your name as in passport. 3. Then go to your Inbox in Individual Home after log-in. At first they ask to Fill online Application form (allied health in technician category). Attach all the required documents ( 1-Passport, 2-Photograph, 3-Experience certificate ,4-Pharm-D / B pharm, degree,+

Transcript, Valid License from pharmacy council or renewal of license to Practice in Home Country) in scanned form. After submitting online application wait DHA message to get your application approved. NOTE: The attestation of documents is not necessary DHA will do all the process itself if some buddy do it .. So well & good. 4. Once your application will be approved, check your DHA site inbox, DHA will ask you to submit 210 AED online . 5. After submission of Application fee DHA will send message within 2-3 days in your inbox to purchase DHA book from DHA office in Business Village, Block-C, Clock Tower, deira, Dubai (near dera city center BUS STOP if u come from sharjah in bus or if u come in metro come to dera ciy center METRO STATION ). The book cost is 220 AED. DHA will give receipt of Book Purchase. Upload that receipt in scanned form on DHA website inbox in your application in last page in additional documents section then submit it. 6. Then after 2-3 days DHA will send message in your inbox to submit PSV (Primary source verification) Fee 724 AED online. 7. After submitting PSV Fee DHA will take 30-60 days for verification. Once verification completed, DHA will send u Data Flow report of PSV. In the meanwhile u can book your exam date before the verification report. 8. DHA conduct exam on every Sunday in Sheikh Rashid Hospital /behind trauma center, Dubai. DHA will confirm your exam date after receiving DHA Exam Fee Online. If you want to give exam on Normal bais then fee is 260 AED And If you want to give exam on urgent basis then fee will be 2010 AED. DHA exam is computer based test. Passing score is 60%. After Passing exam DHA will issue you Eligibility Letter for searching employment within few days (10-15days).
