Factors Mathematics Lesson Plan This lesson begins with an introduction of factors through the factor ninja, who

o chops up products into its corresponding factors. Through modeling, guided practice, and independent practice students have multiple opportunities to practice identifying factors. Students are engaged and motivated in this lesson by playing a game with fortune-tellers. Li e the traditional fortuneteller game, students pic colors and numbers and are as ed a !uestion at the very end. "n this modified version, the !uestions as students to identify the factors of certain numbers. This game was e#tended in future lessons when students were also as ed to identify whether the number given was a prime or composite number. This unit also included a section on multiples, in which students were introduced to the multiple monster. $or a culminating product, students pic ed their favorite number and identified that number%s factors, and multiples.
