Language Objective: Students will be able to learn English vocabulary through story time session

Assessment: At the end of the session, students will be briefly assessed about words that they learned during the session

Materials: 1) BIG RED BARN by Margaret Wise Brown 2) SEE ME RUN by Paul Meisel Overview: 1) Ask questions frequently to see if students know words about colors, objects, or etc. 2) If a student doesnt know a word, let other students help him/her know the word. 3) Connect a word with a picture or illustration in the book. Time: 5 min 3 min 4 min 2 min Extensions/Adaptations: 1) In case of necessity of additional explanation of words, prepare electronic devices to look up words and visual aids that describe the words. 2) Visual aids are always useful for young leaners

Total: 28 min Evaluation: - Students are to learn new words as they read a story with many pictures and other visual aids - Even if students dont know a word, a picture from the books for the story time helps them know what the word means - The proficiency level of reading materials dont necessarily have to be the same level of the young learners because the books provide proper visual aids for them

Instructions: 1) Pay a careful attention to words of which students seem to confuse or not know 2) Have other students help a student who has a trouble to know a word 3) Have students point an animal or object that a word describes, so that I know that they know the word 4) Go over again the words that students learn during the story time to see if they know what the words mean 5) Follow the same steps on the second book as well
