CODE OF CONDUCT
The following constitutes the code of conduct for the club, which shall be known as Friends Alike Social Club.

1. Introduction
a) This code of conduct will be available to anyone wishing to read it in a printed or electronic copy. b) This Code of Conduct is intended to contribute to: A friendly and supportive club atmosphere where all members, their families and friends are treated with respect and consideration.

The positive image and reputation of the Club. c) The Code of Conduct applies to all members of the Club in any situation where they may be present as members of the club. d) The Club has a code of conduct which is expected to be understood and adhered to by all members of the club. e) Our members are expected to adhere to this code of conduct as part of their club registration procedure.

2. Club Activities
Club activities are recognised as being one or more of the following: a) Any event publicised in a club newsletter or discussed in meetings. b) Any event that is funded by the club. c) Any event that requires the use of equipment owed by the club. d) Any event that requires transport booked through the club.

3. General Conduct
a) Our club is made up of many senior, junior and female members. We Endeavour to include those who have made an effort to be part of our club and we expect that all members contribute to this environment. b) No member of the club shall act irresponsibly during club activity, nor shall any individual member or members of the club bring the club, into disrepute. c) When representing the club in any activity, all members shall act in a good manner, regardless of the nature of the activity. d) The code of conduct reflects the highest standards of public behavior and the expectations of the club administration. e) The Club expects that all those associated with the club, at all times, conduct themselves in the best interests of the club with special importance placed on our good standing within the community and most importantly, within our local social community. f) The code of conduct is not designed to suppress passion or commitment for the club, but rather, is designed to ensure that club participants understand that there is a line which divides passion and offensive behavior

g) Those who are participating in the club activities shall be aware of the dangers of the activity, and shall participate only if they wish to, in the full understanding of the nature of the activity. h) Open discussion and debate is encouraged on the club ,we understand that discussion can become heated at times, but always maintain your respect for each other i) NEVER do anything that might bring embarrassment or an unfavorable view to you, the club, your mates, family or community

4. Members Conduct During Meetings


a) Cellphone usage during meetings is not allowed unless its an emergency. b) Drinking of liquor before or during a meeting is not allowed, members to be sober during meetings. c) Members who fail to wear their uniform at club meetings and events will be fined at the rate to be determined by members at general meetings.

5. Behavior towards other members


a) If you don't like someone's creations or ideas then please don't reply or in hatred or harsh manner, instead you can give suggestion to him to improve etc. b) Dont try to settle private issues or battles in a club forum, is strictly not allowed. c) Jokes, SMS, stories etc., which can hurt feelings of any community or religion are not allowed d) Publishing personal information about other people, or publish the contents of Private messages in a public forum, will not be tolerated.

6. Violent and/or aggressive conduct


a) There is no place for violence in our club. b) Every member is expected to behave in a non-threatening manner. To uphold the name of the club in high standard and to promote them with good conduct. To never put the safety and wellbeing of any other individual at risk while taking part in club activities or representing the club. c) Behave in a courteous and respectful way;

7. Foul and abusive language


a) The club does not tolerate foul language. b) This includes any word that is considered degrading to the person.

8. Racist, Religious or Sexual Offense is strictly prohibited


a) We welcome members from all cultural and racial backgrounds. If you are unable to accept such differences without disparaging attitudes, then the Club is not for you. b) Any degrading remark concerning any one person's race, religion, nationality, gender or sexual preference or ability, or that in general, is strictly prohibited. c) We will not tolerate any gender based vilification. We are a family friendly club and encourage members to bring along their families and friends. Sexual slurs or innuendo are not part of our culture. d) Sexual Harassment of any nature including, but not limited to verbal or gesturing, is forbidden

9. Visitors and members under 18


a) Persons under the age of eighteen years shall not participate in club activity without written permission from their parent(s) or legal guardian, who shall be aware of the nature of the activities of the club. b) The parent(s) or legal guardian of anyone under the age of eighteen years shall give written notice that they bear the responsibilities of that person as described above c) While members are welcome to invite friends and visitors are always welcome to our club, they are also expected to abide by our code and conduct to ensure a friendly and enjoyable atmosphere at our club at all times. d) Hosts visitors are welcome (not on the actual meeting) as long they abide by our code and conduct. e) Members may bring their kids to the meeting if thes no one to babysit them. f) Visitors brought to the meeting by members must be explained and stay outside until the actual meeting is complete and can us for the rest. g) Girlfriends/boyfriends are NOT allowed in all our meetings unless invited. h) Wives, husbands, official girlfriends/boyfriends, kids and friends are welcomed to join us on our Year-end meetings or other events organized by the club.

10. Failure to comply


a) Any member who violates the Code of Conduct will be subject to disciplinary action as determined by the clubs committee. b) The Club committee exists for the benefit of the whole of the Club. If you have any issue relating to the Code of Conduct please communicate this with the committee. c) Any transgression of this disciplinary code will be dealt with using the following internal disciplinary procedure; It will be brought to the attention of the committee, Committee shall, depending on the severity of the transgression; anyone who is found not according to the above rules will be warned, first verbal then in writing. Committee to suspend the individuals rights to take part in club activities for an agreed period of time if found guilty of the transgression again. Committee to ban the individual from the club all together will be the last resort. Should the member be banned from the club, the procedures under Resignations on the club constitution to be followed.

11. Complaints Procedure


a) If any club member is unhappy with any aspect of the club they can utilize the following complaints procedure in order to raise this issue. They must contact any member of the committee who shall then pass the information forward to the chairman on the severity of the complaint. We thank you for your understanding and wish you a pleasant stay at the club
