started as fortnightly newspaper on March 29, 1940,under the leadership of Hameed Nizami Basic aim of the newspaper was to make paper voice of people in Pakistani Movement On December 15, 1942 the fortnightly was turned to a weekly and finally to a daily on July 19, 1944
