Dear Kindergarten Parents/Guardians, I would like to first express my gratitude and excitement for the opportunity to perform and

fulfill my 10 week student teaching at am!er "alley #lementary in $s% &assidy's classroom% $y name is $iss (lexandria K)en)old and I am in my final semester in the #lementary #ducation Program at *inona +tate ,ni)ersity - .ochester &ampus% I am excited to !egin gaining the experience and lessons of !ecoming a teacher for the students of today% efore getting started in the classroom, I wanted to tell you a little !it more a!out me% I ha)e !een a park and recreation dance camp super)isor for grades K/0 for four years and was also a 1unior high dance team coach for 2 years% +ome fun facts a!out me is my )ast array of ho!!ies which include3 dancing, coaching, photography, four wheeling/dirt !iking, reading, fishing, hunting, and coaching/directing/emcee for pageants In addition, I ha)e done a large amount of )olunteering with children ages 4 to 10 for a )ariety of organi5ations !ut a few include the oys and Girls &lu! of .ochester, $iss Gladiolus Days 6rgani5ation, and many more% 7his )olunteering has !een an ama5ing experience as it has made me that much more excited to work in classrooms% 7hrough my schooling I ha)e worked in e)ery grade le)el K/8 through different clinical practices% $ost recently, this past semester I did a 8 week student teaching in a Kindergarten classroom and a 90 hour clinical practice in a 4th grade classroom% I ha)e en1oyed the a!ility to spend time and teach in so many different grade le)els, !ut Kindergarten has, !y far, !een my fa)orite and am looking forward to the next 10 weeks together% 7o the students of $s% &assidy's class and the parents, I would like to take a moment to thank you for the opportunity that you ha)e pro)ided for me to enter the classroom and perform my student teaching% *hile I am eager to assist in pro)iding an education, I am also prepared and excited for lessons I will learn from the students, the school, and my cooperating teacher% I'm looking forward to getting to know you and your child in the upcoming 10 weeks% *e will ha)e many wonderful experiences and opportunities to learn and grow in the days ahead% If you ha)e any :uestions or comments please feel free to contact me )ia email%
