Jenna Huynh Pacs 03 February 13, 2014 Investigating Social Dynamics: Power, Conformity, and Obedience In society today,

humanity is separated by good and evil. The big question is, are good people capable of being evil. It depends on the situation and how aware you are in the environment and the impact it has on you. Even one person can make a big influence on you. People also tend to believe that good things happen to good people and bad things happen to bad people. If you treat someone in a way that harms them, you tend to think the worst of them in order to prevent cognitive dissonance. The same can be said if you do a favor for someone, you think better of them. An example would be, if you were bullied when you were young, would you continue to let people bully you or become a bully yourself? That depends on how much bullying impact you. If you were threatened an exponential amount of time and was hurt physically and emotionally, this might change you. If the bully continues to damage you, this time he wants to kill you, you decide to attack back. You put a knife right through his heart and take away his life. Is this considered evil, or is it just protecting yourself from being damage again. In this situation, I dont believe that he is an evil person but instead he is just protecting himself.
