Note: safety factor 4:1. Above limits refer to normal use and equally loaded sling legs.
!SSYMMETRICLOADINGCONDITION
For unequally loaded chain slings we recommend that the
Working Load Limits be determined as follows:
2-leg slings calculated as the corresponding 1-leg slings
3-leg and 4-leg slings calculated as the corresponding 2-leg
slings.
3EVEREENVIRONMENT
Grade 8 chain and components must not be used in alkaline
or acidic conditions.
Comprehensive and regular examination must be carried out
when using Grade 8 equipment in severe or corrosion inducing
environments.
In uncertain situations consult your distributor.

%XTREMETEMPERATURECONDITIONS
For G8 chain slings the in-service temperature of the whole
or part of the chain sling affects the Working Load Limit as
follows:
Temperature
Reduction in
of sling
Working Load Limit
40C to +200C
None
+200C to +300C
10%
+300C to +400C
25%
Upon return to normal temperature the sling reverts to its full capacity. G8
chain slings should not be used above or below these temperature limits.
.OTE
Hot dip galvanizing or plating is not allowed outside the control of the
manufacturer.

Recomended wire rope for the above arrangement is Warrington Seale +FC 6 x 36, acc. to ISO 2408. Ultimate strength of wire:
1770 N/mm2. Lower terminal can be deviced such as hooks, shackles, coupling links or others.
If another wire rope construction is used, the max. WLL of the wire rope can be calculated acc. to the formula: 0,8 x Fo / n.
Fo = Min. Ultimate strength of the wire rope acc. to ISO 2408. N = safety factor (n = 5:1(<
_)32mm, n = 4:1>32mm)
