Skills & Abilities

I have a wide range of skills that I have developed over the past 15 years in the disability sector both with Non-Government service providers and as a public servant. I have strong communication skills and can communicate with all levels of audience. I show leadership in how I present myself in the workplace and believe leadership comes from all levels of staff not only management. This is especially important in times of dramatic change like we are currently experiencing in the public service. I maintain a good work life balance as I believe it is key to keeping productive in the workplace. I participate as much as possible in my local community and for the past 12 months have participated in a team of local friends training for racing on Obstacle Courses. This role has helped me develop skills in leadership and teamwork as we have supported each other through extremely challenging obstacles and testing environments. This has taught me a lot about maintaining a positive outlook and problem solving that can be used in the workplace.
