To create this image she must get an oil painting with a brass or a brass looking frame she must

then careful burn off and burn holes in pieces of the painting giving it enough damage for the message to be received however not so much that the painting is unrecognizable. The photo was taken with a white background to highlight all the little burns that are found throughout the painting. The picture is burnt just enough so it remains in one piece however it still leaves the viewer wondering who the man is.

This photograph gives off a very negative feeling as it promotes the raw power of fire and how it can burn through and destroy all that you know, its also negative as it has me thinking about how people who have been trapped in fires have been scarred for life and because of that one incident that will never been the same, that message is promoted through the man in this painting as we see a figure however we dont know who he is or how the fire started in the first place. This hasnt challenged my perceptions of fire as i have always thought of it as a danger however it has made me think about the results of it and the damanges it causes,

The photograph hasnt been given a frame as the painting already has/had one. This image overall is a simple enough picture as there is a plain background with lots of light however there is no shadows present, the use of light allows the viewer to look in dept into every little burn and scorch that has been offered throughout the painting. The painting is shot from head height as if the viewer was looking at it themselves and has been kept straight, even though it has been destroyed it has been able to maintain its posture without buckling.

The picture below is one of a decayed painting that has been destroyed, i am uncertain of whom the man is in the image however I feel this could add to the message of the photograph. It comes across as showing the raw power and destruction of fire and Mother Nature and how nothing man made will outlive Mother Nature, it can also show it can also distort our image and shape our lives. This image is part of a series of pieces which involved the destruction or decay of paintings allowing her to portray her views.
