Student Teacher: Special Education January-April 2014 Onsted Elementary School, Onsted, MI, Third and Fourth Grade Resource Room. Taught Reading, Writing, and Math. Collaborated and Co-taught 4th grade math. Collaborated and Co-taught reading comprehension with Speech Pathologist. Differentiated reading and writing lessons for multiple reading and writing groups.

 Progress monitored students reading fluency. Helped develop IEP's and sat in during IEP meetings. Participated in weekly Special Education Team meetings. Collaborated with School Social Worker, Psychologist, and Speech Pathologist. Student Teacher: General Education September- December 2013 Columbia Elementary School, Brooklyn, MI, Third Grade Classroom. Taught Reading, Guided Reading, Writing, and Math. (Onsted, MI) Tutoring January-April 2014 Co-taught after school for students with IEP's and in Tier III at Onsted Elementary. Taught strategies for comprehension, test taking, and multiplication. Observation Hours September 2011-May 2013 Completed over 350 observation hours in multiple classrooms in Jackson and Lenawee County. Attended field trips, tutored students, and taught multiple lessons in different classrooms.

UNIQUE EXPERIENCES

College Baseball May 2009-2012 Played first base for Siena Heights University for four years and was voted captain by my teammates for my senior season. I was part of a team who helped turn around a program and win its first ever Wolverine Hoosier Athletic Conference Championship. Baseball helped me value teamwork, dedication, and how to overcome adversity. MDA Summer Camp Participating June 2014 Volunteered for a week and helped children and young adults who have muscular dystrophy, participate in various camp activities.
