Artifact B2 Professional Mission Statement: My mission as a Student Affairs professional is to find purpose, meaning, balance and contention with

the work I do in serving students. To uphold a student-centered approach in all decision making processes and encourage this shared vision amongst my colleagues. To enhance my professional development through life-long learning and holding myself accountable to the profession and my personal growth. To value diversity and engage in cultural understanding between students, faculty and my peers. To be brave and advocate for myself while uplifting my role and advocacy for others. To serve students with care by recognizing their individual development process and supporting their growth through intentional and meaningful interactions. To maintain a work-life balance and be strategic in leadership roles. To remember to have fun, be humorous and laugh with my colleagues and be content with my professional choices and lifestyle. To remember, I have been called to this vocation because of my significant experiences in college. To pay it forward.
