Meet the Student Teacher

Happy New Year! As we start off 2014, I am thrilled to join

Dear Parents, Mrs. Kedzierskis classroom full time as your childs student teacher. I have already met many of you, and look forward to getting to know you and your child even more throughout the coming months. I will be working very closely with Mrs. Kedzierski to plan and prepare meaningful lessons and will assist her with teaching and grading responsibilities as well. I have been a substitute teacher in the Romeo district for the last three years and I am delighted to join the Indian Hills family. I have a B.A. in English and Im currently working towards my Masters degree in Elementary Education at Oakland University. I am in the home stretch and will be finished in April! During this program, I have worked in several schools assisting and teaching lessons and administering detailed assessments. I have always loved kids and have been working with them since my teen years. I have volunteered to teach in numerous large and small group settings and have experience counseling at summer camp, directing a childrens choir, organizing and supervising field trips, and planning and facilitating an interactive science club. In addition to this, I am a wife and mother. My husband and I have three wonderful kids, Jeremiah (11), Hannah (10) and Leah (8), who all attend Romeo schools. We also have two kittens who are always getting into trouble! We love water parks and roller coasters and are ice cream connoisseurs. We were privileged to be a foster parents for several years and hope to do that again in the future. ! My sixth grade teacher had a tremendously positive impact on my life, and I hope to do the same in your childs life. I look forward to expanding on the things your child already knows and introducing them to new and exciting things. Its going to be a fantastic 2014 in room 32! With warmest regards, Krista Miller
