Sigma Lambda Beta International Fraternity, Inc.

Office of the International Vice President of Alumni - Development and Operations

History has proven that those w/ a clear plan of action are more likely to achieve their goals and succeed in life. To become a successful member of any organization, team, corporation, etc, you must fist understand the hierarchy and levels of such. If you aspire to be a CEO but dont understand the levels between new hire and your goal, your chances are limited that you will attain the necessary experience to achieve such a goal. It is more likely that you will get lost along the way if you are not made aware of the development needs and steps to rise within your company. Within our fraternity we are experiencing a similar problem. Young men join our fraternity because they want to be successful men, but we as an organization have not set up a detailed development plan that will support their goal. We must clearly define the stages in going from an Associate Member to a Mature Alumni if we are to make good on our promise of developing our young men to become leaders. That said, I have broken up the stages of brotherhood into 7 different segments and included some detail w/ respect to development needs that must be filled in order for brothers to succeed in the following stages. I have named this pyramid, The Seven Stages of Sigma Lambda Beta Evolution

7) Mature Alumni 6) Recent Alumni 5) Upperclassman 4) Prophyte 3) Neophyte 2) Associate Member 1) Interest All stages are interconnected and dependent on a successful development plan in order to attain the highest reward from each. Every segment and operating function of our fraternity is also interconnected with the 7 Stages, and therefore plays an important role in the success of its implementation and execution.
