Correct Interpretation of SMRT Priority-Reserved Seat Signboard. Last Thursday till yesterday I had noticed despite that there Priority or Reserved Seat Signboard above the Priority or Reserved seats, seats are not given up to the so-called “reserved” passengers. Take last Thursday as “model example”. In the cabin where my mum and I were in, crowed as it used to be, the Priority or Reserved seats were occupied by non-priority passengers, mostly well asleep and “visually-disable” as they were unable to “Visualize” more than three elderly in the same cabin. Why are they disabled? They can’t see any elderly at all, they are visually Disable even with their Eyes Wide Opened. Sleep till the seat next to their girlfriend or boyfriend is vacant. I always have a question that is -- how come they know when is the seat next to their love partners is vacant when they are sleeping like DEAD? They are either “Blind” or in Deep Deep Sleep when they are on priority seats. Can we blame the unmoral passengers even though we are heading towards Gracious Singapore!? I can’t blame MOE for removing the Moral Education or 好公民 from primary school syllabus. But I have to accept the fact that they are not wrong either. Take a closer look at the signboard.
