Attract/Address My Audience?

I took in to consideration what people said in my questionnaire to helped me think about what I was going to do for my production. The people I asked said that they thought a good location would be an abandoned building or a house. I chose to base my production in a shed to make it seem more isolated. When looking at what characters people would want in a horror film I found out that they wanted a killer and a weak female. In my production the killer is the old woman and the weak female is the young innocent girl.

For the lighting most people I asked said that the lighting should be dim.
For my production I wanted to make sure that I made it so that the audiences ideas where used in the making of it, this was so that my production would appeal to my target audience.

The White Mask

Having the white mask attracts the audience because of the mystery behind it. Because of this they will want to watch the film to find out who the woman is and why she wears a mask.

The Young Girl

I chose my cousin to play the innocent girl. The audience can relate to her character because she looks like a typical child.

Mise-enScene
The dolls and the knife both foreshadow what will happen in the film giving the audience an understanding of what the film is about.

Style
I chose to make the lighting in my production dim so that it would feel eerie for the audience. The over all look is black and white to make it seem old. The black and white also emphasises the white mask giving more mystery behind it for the audience.

Titles
I have chosen to use the font style Baskerville in white. The font style is also easy to read and when it is made bold it stand out more, Baskerville.

Music
the music I used is called Waltz of the Undertaker from the website Machinimasound.I believe that the music I have chosen to use builds up suspense meaning that the audience will get more of scare which the people I asked said made a good horror film.
