About Joanna and her Education.


Joanna went to Bishopshalt School of Performing Arts from 2005-2012 where she obtained excellent GCSE and A-Level grades for all aspects of performance, finishing with an A in Drama and Theatre Studies, a B in Music and a B in Performing Arts. She is currently studying Drama Studies at Bath Spa University and is in her second year there. Joanna in a Mezzo-Soprano with a three octave range. She has been classically trained from the age of thirteen and has been in musical theatre productions her entire life. Throughout her school years she sung almost 150 solos ranging from classic arias to more well known musical theatre numbers. Joanna would class herself as a feminist theatre practitioner, who uses multi sensory objects in her work. She draws influence from people such as Artaud, Katie Mitchell, Robert Wilson and Knee high to make her work truly magical. She likes to use live music and song throughout her work as this is her main passion. Joanna will continue to follow her aspirations of being on the stage and doing what she loves to do, making people happy.

Rebecca Pollock reviewed it and said I saw a Robert Wilson production of this in San Francisco and can honestly say that I would rather have watched yours.
