your eyes and relax. Now, imagine that you are an animal running freely in your natural environment/habitat. The weather is just perfect for you. The beautiful blue sky is looking down at you. You meet up with your family and roam ever so calmly around, visiting with your family and enjoying the landscape. You dine on some of the grassy areas, rubbing your skin against the trees. The breezy air is just perfect for you. The scented blooms are a vast everywhere. AHHH! All of a sudden a loud crackling is heard all around! More popping sounds burst through the air! Everything, everyone goes wild! You and the rest of the animals dont know where to turn, what to do, where to go, total chaos! Animals are down, you try to guide your family away. Suddenly you see, peering through the bushes these bizarre looking creatures. They have these long things hanging around them. One comes out of the bushes and lugs this long thing around and points it at YOU! You run wild! You are now separated from your family! The teacher will turn on the lights

One of the reasons is that there not as many animals. The reason for that is that the land where animals roam, people are developing for many different reasons. The reasons why people are encroaching on the animal habitats, are: *for the development of new areas for homes *travel people are desiring to seek out new exotic (rarely traveled far-away lands for humans) *medicines people have discovered that extracts from certain plants in the rainforests are helpful in the development of medicines for the cure of disease of humans *certain types of animal skins, and horns are desired for human use for furniture, purses, shoes, and clothing. *ivory tusks from elephants are desired by humans for collections, furniture, and jewelry. *the desire for exotic pets *general hunting for pleasure Is this fair to animals and to us?
