How Technology is Changing our Schools- In this session, presenters will highlight
the impact of technology on both HOW and WHAT students need to learn to prepare
them for the future that faces them in our changing world. Come see a small glimpse of
the exciting ways classrooms are transforming to empower each learner to take
ownership of his/her education. Room 106


Who Wants to Raise Successful Children?- In this interactive session based on the game
show "Who Wants to be a Millionaire," presenters will share how parents can help their
children succeed in school, college, careers, and life by teaching them to have a "growth
mindset." Room 108

The Active Parenting curriculum is a video-based parent education program designed by Dr.
Michael H. Popkin, a psychologist whose focus is helping families in todays uncertain and
dangerous world. Active Parenting teaches parents everything they need to know about
instilling confidence in their children, nonviolent discipline techniques, and encouraging
mutual respect. The program offers a variety of tools to help raise happy, healthy, and
successful children.
Active Parenting isnt just for parents. Guardians, grandparents, childcare providers and
teachers will also find the information taught by the Active Parenting programs very
informative and instructional. Room 110


Connecting to Community Resources -The G.R.I.T. Community fair will provide and
interactive and informative experience, linking Pasco County families with local
resources. This fair will bring together community organizations in one centralized
location that will provide assistance in the areas of counseling, education, healthcare
