This week went very well. I gave two tests in Enlgish and Social Studies. In
reading, we completed a couple short stories and are now watching a follow
up documentary on Hurricane Katrina. My relationship with the students is
still growing. I feel a weakness of mine is that I still need to improve on my
modeling proficiency. It is the end of my 8th week and I feel like I have
learned a lot of useful tricks and tips here.
Ethan is becoming more and more confident in his approach to teaching. He
develops well-thought out plans to engage students in their learning. I
especially liked his Social Studies assignment where students had to determine
concepts and quotations between Alexander Hamilton & Thomas Jefferson.
They put the correct statement in thought bubbles of the two men. A better
visual than a worksheet and it will help students to remember the information
for a test.

I've been pleased with his progress and am confident he will do very well in a
middle school setting.
