Medication Compliance

Patient LP admitted to missing at least two doses a


week regularly. She stated there are times she does
not take her medications for the simple fact they
make her excessiely fatigued and una!le to function
throughout the day.

howeer$ LP already uses one and the main
pro!lem isn%t that she forgets$ she &ust simply
doesn%t want to take them !ecause she will feel

'nother suggestion we had was to figure out what


medication it is that is making her tired and moe
it to a night time dose$ if possi!le. (his way she
could function throughout the day while still
adhering to her medication regimen

Patient LP has only discontinued her Sulfonamide


eye drops since we first started to isit her

*ur patient does wish to discontinue as many of her


medications as she can +she feels that she is taking
too many,$ and will !e seeing a new doctor next
month to do a full reiew of what she is taking

LP does complain of !eing tired all day

(his could !e an aderse reaction from the ropinirole

Patient has scheduled an appointment with a new


doctor to go oer her concerns with her medications

*erall our isit was a success. "e were a!le to


learn more a!out her medication routines and
understand her concerns. *ne !ig concern LP
had was she thought she was on too many
medications. "e suggested she make an
appointment with her physician to hae him take
a closer look at her medication list$ een possi!ly
take some away$ !ut she already had an
appointment set with her doctor to do so.

(his isit also went ery well. "e were a!le to gain a
!etter understanding of LP%s oerall wellness. She
does many positie things to improe her wellness
such as olunteer$ pray$ and gets inoled with
family and friends. 4oweer$ there are still things to
!e improed on such as her state of loneliness she
says she has felt since the passing of her hus!and ten
months ago.
