strategies to help
students behave:
Create a sound classroom structure.
Explicitly teach social and behavioral
expectations.
Establish their routine.
Constantly move around in the classroom.
One-on-one tutoring in classroom. Ex.
whisper instruction.
Have secret nonverbal signals with
students to redirect behavior.
Positive narration for the whole class to
redirect behavior.
Brea classroom procedures and learning
behavior into manageable steps to
now clearly what is expected of
them.
!ntervene early in the acting-out cycle"
such as when a student shows sings
of agitation. By addressing the needs
of the student immediately" we can
prevent problem behaviors.
