Part A: Jessica’s intervals are not correct.

Part B:

Interval Frequency
10 – 19 5
20 – 29 7
30 – 39 8
40 – 49 4

I know that in a frequency table, the intervals must all

have the same difference. In Jessica’s table, the
difference in the first interval 10 – 20 is 10 The
difference in all of the other intervals (21 – 30, 31 –
40, 41 – 50) is only 9. My intervals all have a
difference of 9, so my frequency table is correct.

Part B: I know that I need to multiply, so first I need to

change both mixed numbers to improper fractions. To
change them, I need to multiply the denominator by

the whole number, and add the numerator. This will
give me the new numerator, and the denominator

. To multiply, I multiply the numerators together,
4
and the denominators together. 7 • 11 = 77, and 2 •
77
4 = 8. My answer is . I change this to a mixed
8
number by dividing. 77 ÷ 8 = 9 with a remainder of 5.

My final answer is 9 .

same as . When I multiply and I get . This

is improper, so to change it to a mixed number, I have
to divide. 88 ÷ 12 = 7 with a remainder of 4. My
